Training

As a positive reinforcement trainer, Zara uses motivational, reward-based and force free methods. No aversive measures or harsh treatment will be used and you will be expected to use food and toy rewards during training sessions.
Your dog should be on a flat collar or body harness and fixed lead for any training sessions requiring leadwork. Choke/check chains, prong/shock/spray collars, slip leads, figure-of-8 leads and flexi leads are not permitted during training.
The risks associated with working in an outdoor environment, handling and training dogs and being around people and dogs will be explained before any sessions where applicable. It is your responsibility to express any concerns to Zara prior to commencing any training.
Whilst every care is taken, More Than Sit cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons, property or dogs during training sessions.
You agree that More Than Sit can contact your referring veterinarian and discuss your case with your vet unless you specifically request otherwise.
You agree that More Than Sit can hold your personal contact details and records of your dog's progress securely in compliance with GDPR guidelines.
Zara will advise you to the best of her ability, however results are dependent on the implementation and continuation of the advice you are given.

All package fees are payable before starting your training sessions. Note: initial consultations are up to an hour and a half; subsequent sessions are usually an hour dependent on client’s and dog’s needs. If sessions exceed these timings under mutual agreement, additional fees are payable after the session at a rate of £75/hr.
All sessions of a pre-paid package must be used within 4 months of purchase.
The More Than Sit affiliate scheme offers rewards for referrals from existing clients. Referrals must quote your discount code when booking to earn £10 off for both of you. Only one £10 discount applicable per session. Discount valid for 30 days from issue.

Clients are kindly asked to provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if needing to cancel or reschedule a 1-to-1 appointment. Less than 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment will be treated as a used session.
You can request a full refund if you change your mind in the 2 weeks after purchase, unless you have started your training, in which case any untaken sessions will not be eligible for a refund.

Once you have a confirmed space in the group class, no refund or partial refund can be given once the class has started.

If the initial assessment identifies that a group setting would not be suitable for your dog, you may choose:
- to receive a refund for the cost of the course , minus £75 for the assessment; or
- to book in 2 hours' 1-to-1 training instead.
If unable to attend the class due to your dog’s season or illness, equivalent 1-to1 training will be offered instead.
Zara reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes in cases of extreme or unsafe weather conditions.
